Holding the responsibility for different people

16 - 

राजा राष्ट्रकृतं पापम् ,

राज्ञां पापं पुरोहित: ।

भर्ता च स्त्रीकृतं पापम् ,

शिष्यपापं गुरू: तथा ।।

 (चाणक्य नीति)

If wrong things are done in the Nation, the King should be held responsible. If the King himself commits a sin, his adviser-in-chief should be held responsible. If a woman does a wrong thing, her husband should be held responsible. If a student commits a sin, his teacher should be held responsible. 

यदि देश में कोई ग़लत कार्य होता है तो राजा इसके लिए उत्तरदायी है । यदि राजा स्वयं कोई पाप करता है तो उसका महामंत्री इसके लिए उत्तरदायी है । यदि स्त्री कोई ग़लती करती है तो उसका पति इसके लिए उत्तरदायी है । यदि विद्यार्थी कोई पाप करता है तो उसका शिक्षक इसके लिए उत्तरदायी है ।
