As long as their work is pending people praise others to get their work done

कार्यार्थी भजते लोकम् ,

यावत् कार्यं न सिद्धयति ।

उत्तीर्णे च परे पारे ,

नौकायां किं प्रयोजनम् ।।

( विदुर नीति )

As long as their work is pending, people praise others to get their work done. Because, when one has crossed the river on the other side what is the use of the boat ?

जब तक कार्य पूर्ण नहीं हो जाता तभी तक ही लोग दूसरों की प्रशंसा करते हैं । जैसे नदी पार कर  दूसरे तट पर पहुँच जाने के उपरान्त नौका का क्या प्रयोजन है ?
