Mother Earth will nourish human beings

11-

यावत् भूमण्डलं धत्ते,

सशैल-वन-काननम् ।

तावद् तिष्ठति मेदिन्यां,

संततिः पुत्रपौत्रिकी ।।

(दुर्गाशप्तशती, कवचम्, श्लोक ५४)

As long as, the Earth bears the mountains, (rivers), jungles and forests, only till then, Mother Earth will be able to sustain the nourishment of human beings with future generations.

जब तक यह भूमण्डल पर्वतों, (नदियों), जंगलों एवं वनों से आच्छादित है; तब तक यह पृथ्वी मानव-जाति और उसकी भावी सन्तानों का भरण-पोषण करती रहेगी ।
