Luminaries give message to maintain calm in state of Happiness & Sorrow

याति एकतो अस्तशिखरं पतिओषधीनाम् ,

आविष्कृतो अरुणपुरः सर: एकतो अर्क : ।

तेजो द्वयस्य युगपद् वसनोदयाभ्याम् ,

लोको नियम्यत इव आत्मदशान्तरेषु ।।

( अभिज्ञान शाकुन्तलम्, २, चतुर्थ अंक )

On the one side, the Lord of medicines, Moon is going to set in west. On the other side, Sun is rising on the chariot driven by his driver Aaruni in the east. Thus, simultaneous rising and setting of both the Luminaries is giving the message to the World as how to maintain calm in the state of Happiness and Sorrow.

एक ओर औषधिपति चन्द्रमा पश्चिम में अस्ताचल की ओर जा रहा है और दूसरी ओर अपने सारथि अरूण को आगे करके पूर्व में सूर्य उदय हो रहा है । दोनों तेजों के एक साथ उदय और अस्त द्वारा मानो संसार को अपनी सुख-दुख विषयक विशेष दशाओं में नियंत्रित करने का उपदेश दिया जा रहा है ।
