Learning & Rulership both are never comparable

41- 

विद्वत्वं च नृपत्वं च,

नैव तुल्यं कदाचन् ।

स्वदेशे पूज्यते राजा,

विद्वान सर्वत्र पूज्यते ।।

( हितोपदेश ) 

Learning and Rulership both are never comparable. Because, the King gets respect only in his own Kingdom ; whereas the Learned Person gets respect every where.

विद्वता और नृपत्व दोनों की तुलना कभी नहीं हो सकती। क्यों कि राजा की पूजा केवल अपने देश में होती है ;  जब कि विद्वान सर्वत्र पूज्यनीय होते हैं ।
