Human Body gets decorated by helping others and not by applying sandal.

श्रोत्रं श्रुतेनैव न कुण्डलेन,

दानेन पाणिर्न तु कंकणेन ।

विभाति काया करूणापराणाम् ,

परोपकारेण तु चंदनेन ।।

( हितोपदेश )

Ear gets decorated by hearing the scriptures and not by wearing the ear-rings. Hand gets decorated by donation and not by wearing the bangles. Body gets decorated by doing favours to the needy persons and not by applying the sandal. 

कान  की शोभा धर्म-शास्त्रों के सुनने में है ना कि कुँडल पहनने में । हाथ की शोभा दान करने में है ना कि कंगन पहनने में । मनुष्य के शरीर की शोभा दूसरों की सेवा करने में है ना कि चंदन के लेपने में ।
